I fold a piece of paper in half, then double it, fold it four times, then eight times and so on – until it is as small as I can make it using my bare hands. Then I try to remember what I have just done and express my memories of my hands' movements in blind drawings, holding one brush in my right hand and another in my left. I fold the drawings I have produced according to the same principle as my initial material and stack them chronologically.
I soon come to my limits during the drawing process of translation. It is not possible to express a complex pattern of hand movements in drawings so that it can be recognized. I am interested, in this situation, in finding drawing solutions beyond what is familiar to me.
